Tumblr, you and I just aren’t meant to be. A year ago, I came here to write about Spongebob memes, dating, random pet peeves, and my obsession with Game of Thrones. But those topics are not really meant for Tumblr, I fear. Tumblr seems to be a place exceedingly overrun with people who identify as either Social Justice Warriors, or Anti Social Justice Warriors.
Both of these groups get annoying at times, and I fear I’ve pimped myself out to them, posting about “srs issues” just to get more followers. I came here to post about goofy shit, not srs shit. It’s not that I don’t care about racism or sexism, rather that I don’t think writing about it on Tumblr is going to accomplish anything. And not everything has to make a difference (and tumblr posts, arguably, never do)- my posts are just meant to make people laugh, nothing less and nothing more.
Moreover, Tumblr layouts are annoying and I’ve been having trouble getting my posts to look normal. I won’t be totally absent from Tumblr, but all new posts will be at www.lexicali.blogspot.com. That’s right, I was actually able to put “LEXIcali”. That was my original intent for this site but some jackass had already taken the name.
With all this talk of “nice guys” and other forms of insidious douches, I figure it’s time for a douche test. Do not fear- you might end up with a score of “A Truly Good Guy” and then you can tell all your ex-girlfriends that they were wrong.
